Campaign Overview: His Best Requires Our Best

At Landon, everything we do is designed for boys to thrive.

With this in mind, we have developed Strategic and Campus Master plans that will empower Landon to better meet the needs of boys – now and in the future – and to reinforce a timeless mission that has proven invaluable for generations of students. Anchored by a shared purpose and a clear vision, Landon today exudes positive momentum.

Founded almost a century ago, Landon School is one of the preeminent all-boys, non-sectarian day schools in the nation. Through a program of academic excellence, artistic engagement, and athletic distinction, Landon develops the mind, body, and character of its students, cultivating young men who are ready and able to make a positive difference in the world. Anchored in a long-standing tradition of honor, respect, and perseverance, Landon has always been led by an extraordinary faculty that has been the guarantor of the school’s excellence and a cornerstone of the boys’ experience. Today more than 110 teachers bring their expertise, their dedication, and their care to every conversation and every teaching moment – in classrooms, labs, performance halls, playing fields, and beyond – to ensure that the boys’ time at Landon helps them develop into the best versions of themselves.

Strategic Plan

The 2018 Strategic Plan was Landon's first comprehensive goal-setting exercise in a decade. It is focused on six key areas: academics, character, faculty, campus, resources, and community.

Landon’s mission is so important. It created the relationships with friends, coaches and mentors that I cherish to this day. Katie and I are so excited to help carry it forward for the next 50 years.”
